Kottayam: Propaganda maps depicting India as IS territory found, Terror recruitment continues.

NIA discovers ISIS propaganda material that was circulated across Kerala including maps that depict India as Islamic State territory. Phone records and conversations were also recovered. The propagandists are the same as the ones involved in pro-ISIS secret meetings.

ISIS handlers like Rashid Abdulla and Sahran Hashim seemed to be directing recruits from Kerala towards Jihad in Kashmir as recruiting for Jihad abroad has become difficult due to clampdown of intel-agencies. Recruitment still continues after their deaths.

Online booking hotels, home-stays and lodges of migrant workers in Kerala are also under scrutiny.

Huge cache of explosives found in Kozhikode.

Police seized a cache of explosives containing 376 Gelatine sticks and same number of detonators on Sunday from the house a man named T Mahmood in Kayakkodi, Kozhikode. First the police suspected it might have been for quarrying but this man had no connection to any quarries, no licence to buy these explosives and also said he bought them to blast stones in wells, which the police find unconvincing.

It was the second such seizure of illegally stocked explosive materials from Kayakkodi, one of the major hubs of rural quarry operators.

There was also a major seizure at Mukkom last year during a vehicle inspection by the local police. About 1,000 kg of gelatin sticks had been recovered by the police in the inspection. A Tamil Nadu native was arrested in connection with the incident.
